♢ VOLUNTEER ♢

We appreciate all the help we can receive, and appreciate every volunteer
working hard and spending their mortal time to make this event come to life!
Sign up below by clicking on Ghost Face for the form in English or the Pumpkin for the form in Norwegian (klikk på gresskaret for skjema på norsk)
Applying through this form is required to become a volunteer.
If we accept your application, we will message you on your phone number.
You will also receive an invitation link to our Discord server group (Discord is free to use and download on mobile and pc). On this server you will be able to communicate with leaders and the other volunteers.
We will also post important messages and information about the event there. We strongly advise you to join our server.
All other communication will happen through text messages on your phone.
The Dreadful Minds do not cover travel and accomodation for volunteers.
To become a volunteer, you have to be 18 years old or older. This is to ensure you are responsible and can work independently. But we can make exceptions to this, as we have experience with young volunteers doing a great job.
Just contact us, and we will work something out.
We primarily speak Norwegian, but we also speak English.
Our form is in English so everyone can apply.
You are welcome to contact us if you have any questions.

You don't need any previous experience as a volunteer to become a volunteer with us. We speak both Norwegian and English. As a volunteer, you get to be behind the scenes at our event. You also get to join in on the event itself, as one of our many roles. As a scare actor in the labyrinth, your task is to scare. You can borrow a costume from us, and then it's up to you to make your role come alive. As a guard, your task is to make sure that there is peace and order in the queue and in the labyrinth. Outside of the event itself, you get to take part in the assembling and disassembling of the labyrinth, and info meetings and workshops where we make props. It is important that you have the time and opportunity to join the entire weekend the event is held. After working hours on Friday, we start with assembling the labyrinth, and we keep at it all evening. On Saturday, the event will be held. On Sunday morning and evening, the labyrinth is disassembled. At the info meetings, roles are assigned and reviewed, and you receive important information about the event. Therefore, it is important that you have the opportunity to attend them as well. Info meetings usually take place on evenings.

We need people who work hard, and who
want the event to be a success.
You don't have to love horror, just make sure you're comfortable with it.
You should scare visitors, but not
with a bad mood.
"Being a volunteer at The Dreadful Minds is a great experience, there is unity and cooperation from the first moment of assembling and all the way until the disassembling is finished, it can be long days, but it is worth it on the evening itself, I decided to volunteer in 2019 when they had the maze in their garage, and since there was no labyrinth in 2020 due to covid, it was in 2021, and I don't regret it for a second!"
~ Hallvard
"I really enjoy volunteering at The Dreadful Minds. I feel it's something everyone can help with and contribute to, and that it is a very inclusive environment."

"I think it's fun. It's fun to see that people are enjoying themselves after all the effort we've put in. Social and exciting."
~ Kine
"Very fun!"
~ Verona
"I think it's really fun! I was a volunteer for the first time this year and I had a great time. I love everything related to horror and Halloween, so getting to be part of something like this is very rewarding for me. It's a great way to meet others who share the same interest as me and to get the chance to create a fun experience for others! 👻"
~ Benedicte
"Very fun and social!"
~ Grete
"It was incredibly fun but at the same time exhausting to help with setup and decorating before we were going to scare people. But the most fun of all was being inside the labyrinth and scaring people.
Good feedback from you who run this that we did a great job on Saturday with the scaring was nice to hear."
~ Olav
"Very exciting, many nice and creative people."
~ A
"Really fun to get to try something
I haven't done before!"
~ Mariell
"I think it is incredibly fun and rewarding to be a part of this, and I really appreciate the efforts of those behind it who plan and organize the program (Alexandra and Michael). A bit of praise for the floorplan of the labyrinth: I’ve received feedback from several people I know who have been visiting for many years now, saying that this was the best labyrinth ever!"
~ Esther
Ghosts, monsters, vampires, witches, werewolves and other supernatural beings are of course also terribly welcome to apply to become a volunteer.
