Would you like to volunteer at Norway's scariest event?

Our events wouldn't be possible without our volunteers.

Our goal each year is to get bigger, better and scarier.

What does it mean to be a volunteer with us?

You don't need any previous experience as a volunteer to become a volunteer with us. We speak both norwegian and english. As a volunteer, you get to be behind the scenes at our event. You also get to join in on the event itself, either as a scare-actor in the labyrinth or as a guard. As an actor in the labyrinth, your task is to scare. You can borrow a costume from us, and then it's up to you to make your role come alive. As a guard, your task is to make sure that there is peace and order in the queue and in the labyrinth. Outside of the event itself, you get to take part in rigging and dismantling the labyrinth, and  info meetings and workshops where we make props. It is important that you have the time and opportunity to join the entire weekend the event is held. After working hours on Thursday, we start with rigging up the labyrinth, and we keep at it all evening. After working hours on Friday, the rigging continues throughout the evening. On Saturday, the event will be held. On Sunday morning and evening, the labyrinth is dismantled. At the information meetings, roles are assigned and reviewed, and you receive information about the event. Therefore, it is important that you have the opportunity to attend them aswell. Information meetings usually take place on evenings in weekends.

Qualities we look for in the volunteers:

Good work ethic

We need people who work hard, and who

want the event to be a success.

Comfortable with scary things

You don't have to love horror, just make sure you're comfortable with it.

Good mood

You should scare visitors, but not

with a bad mood.

What do the volunteers think?

"Being a volunteer at The Dreadful Minds is a great experience, there is unity and cooperation from the first moment of rigging and all the way until the dismantling is finished, it can be long days, but it is worth it on the evening itself, I decided to volunteer in 2019 when they had the maze in their garage, and since there was no labyrinth in 2020 due to corona, it was in 2021, and I don't regret it for a second!"

~ Hallvard

You don't have to be human to become a volunteer

Ghosts, monsters, vampires, witches, werewolves and other supernatural beings are of course also terribly welcome to apply to become a volunteer.

We are always looking for more volunteers
